Children are active explorers by nature. As adults we might respect their rhythm and see them as an individual with rights and voice. The idea behind each box is to suggest varied learning experiences to provide options for meaningful ways of exploration and encourage children to connect their learning with their interests, curiosities, strengths and talents.
Parents are their children’s most significant early educators. However, the process of learning implies the collaboration of many other intervenients such as other family members, friends, professionals, specialists, and others. In this sense, we want to invite you to participate in our learning journey. Together, you can create meaningful contexts and environments where everyone will feel welcome to play and explore.
Inspired by the participative approach, our project fosters everyone’s collaboration through learning experiences where children and adults will participate in experiential exploration that combines general knowledge, artistic skills, creative problem solving and critical thinking.
Each box contains one book and many suggestions of learning experiences based on it. All the suggestions given are linked to all areas of learning and development from EYFS (The Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage, UK) to KS2.
We have created three boxes according to the different stages of learning. Robins’ T.Box (1-3), Squirrels’ To.Box (4-7) and Owls’ T.Box (8-11).
